Welcome, to what (I hope) will be a new adventure in and of itself for me. The idea for this blog started as “game” I played with a friend. It got my mind rolling and snowballed into a desire of mine, to document my experiences and share them with whoever was willing to read.

For a long time, traveling has been a passion of mine. When I was in high school, I went on a lot of trips with my youth group and my mom, in reference to me, always used the phrase “have bus, will travel”. If anyone was going anywhere and I could tag along, sign me up. Of course, traveling was much easier and much more fun when you had someone else completely planning and paying for the trip. Nevertheless, I have maintained my desire to travel throughout adulthood and while I don’t go nearly as much as I would like to, I love every minute of it and have decided to commit to trying to travel a little more.

I’ve also recently taken up writing as a hobby and thought, “Why not try to mesh the two?” So here we are. Why I decided to start this. I hope that someone finds useful information in what I share here about my experiences. My passions. And that maybe I can help people find places they want to go. Things they want to do. But also to find the adventure in the not-so-faraway places.

If you have questions (or want to hear) about places you know I’ve been, ASK. If you want to know whether or not I’ve been somewhere, ASK. If you have places that YOU’VE been and loved, I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. I want to hear about what you did. What you loved. What you didn’t love. I’m adding new places that I want to visit to my list every day. And you could help formulate that list. If you want to be a “guest” poster on my blog and share YOUR experiences about a trip that you’ve been on, that can probably be arranged too. Just let me know. I’m hoping this comes to be a place of reference, and inspiration, for many.

That being said, this is a work in progress. It’s a start to a website I’m not 100% familiar with, so there may be some changes.  There may be some glitches. Things may be a little slow-going to start, but (hopefully) it will get better. Let me know what you like, what you don’t like, what problems you’re having with the site and I will attempt to fix them.
